Berklee Projects

Harmony 3
This is my composition for Berklee's Harmony 3 curriculum. It's a goofy mashup of a jazz ballad and ragtime. Some key harmonic features include secondary dominants, modal interchange, and modulations.
Fun fact: I was a guitar principal at Berklee and had no access to the good piano practice rooms. I recorded this on a Steinway grand because the room door was left open!
Tonal Harmony
Tonal Harmony is the required classical harmony class that every Berklee student complains about! For this class, I ended up composing something that sounds classical enough, imho - though my professor questioned my "unusual" melodic choices. Unfortunately I didn't have my recording gear at the time, so the audio was recorded on my mac microphone placed right on the piano.
DAW for Songwriters
This class is where technologically challenged songwriters go to learn the basics of recording, producing, and mixing for themselves. Here's a demo of my song "California". Note the ungodly amount of autotune because unfortunately I can't sing!
Songwriting Foundations
Tbh this class was 90% listening to Taylor Swift fangirls yap about their week (not that there's anything wrong with that). But hey, at least we wrote a few songs. Here's a demo of a group project where I helped write and play, and luckily did not have to sing. The song is called "Old Literature".
